Australasia’s largest payments processor Debitsuccess and leading education technology provider VETtrak have announced a strategic partnership that will provide significant benefits for registered training organisations (RTOs) and their students across Australia.

With more than four million people across Australia participating in courses through RTOs and the mid-year intake imminent, payments and having payment options is an important and real issue for many students wanting to enrol for further education.

Debitsuccess delivers a seamless solution for RTOs that are currently using VETtrak by providing extensive range of in-house services, taking away the heavy burden of administration. This intelligent partnership expands enrolment opportunities for RTOs, by giving current and future students access to flexible payment plans to suit their individual education journey.

Davin Miller, CEO Australasia of Debitsuccess, part of TSG, explains how the integration works.

“Once a student has signed up to the Debitsuccess payment plan via the VETtrak software, Debitsuccess will manage the payment plan. This involves processing all billing files, handling any student billing enquiries and following up any failed payments on behalf of the RTO.”

Trevor Fairweather, General Manager, VETtrak goes onto describe the benefits of the partnership:

“The partnership with Debitsuccess helps RTOs with some of their key challenges: Reducing their back office administration and helping attract more students. RTOs can now offer flexible payment plans to students and have the peace of mind that the back of house administration is also being looked after. RTOs can also attract more students by providing flexible payment options, making courses even more accessible. Students have the flexibility to pay for their course weekly or fortnightly, rather than having to pay for the course up front.”

While Government funding for courses continues to be volatile, RTOs can now secure their future by offering ‘Fee for Service’ courses through payment plans that are integrated into their student management system.
